THE HOUR LAUNCH | BBC TWO

A 360 campaign to launch BBC Two's groundbreaking drama The Hour.

This was a labour of love for me, including Concept, Copy, Art Direction and Direction.

Breaking more than just the news, was such a strong concept, I had to follow it through on every level.  I broke traditional drama trailer tropes, deciding not to use full frame images and instead giving the campaign a strong graphic look, inspired by Saul Bass.  

Every element was painstakingly crafted, from the intricate rotoscoping, real-world painted background panels (graphic panels didn't give the texture we wanted) to the sound design of a ticking clock hitting the exact rhythm of the awesome soundtrack.

The campaign had huge standout across TV, Radio and OOH and first episode viewing figure hopes were hugely surpassed.
